Side
Protector Plates
Great for slant radar speed cameras,
this number plate protector allows your number plate to be
read from straight on but not from the side. The special film decreases
the visibility of the number plate as the angle increases
until nothing is visible. This film will only work on slant radar,
set-up on the side of the road.
Overhead Protector Plates
Ideal for fixed overhead radar speed
cameras, this number plate protector is designed to be easily visible
from the side and straight on, but from an overhead camera the
plate is obscured. Great for those fixed overhead cameras.
We also have the Super Plate that
is invisible from overhead and the side but clear from directly
in front.
Our Number Plate Protectors
are designed to defeat K and Ka photo radar cameras. Its simple
design makes it quick and easy to install over your license plate,
taking less than five minutes.
Installation is as simple as drilling
mounting holes into the outer clear plastic matching the existing
numberplate screws. Be careful not to drill too close to the film
as you can permanently damage it if water or moisture gets in.
Before drilling the mounting holes, be sure you have the plate
positioned correctly as it can be installed the wrong way. Make
sure that when you are directly in front of the protector, you
can still clearly see through it. If you can not then you have
it around the wrong way, and the plate will work in reverse, blocking
anything in front of it but nothing else.
When driving behind a vehicle using license
plate protectors, the entire alphanumeric characters of the license
plate can easily be viewed. Patrol cars have no difficulty seeing
the license plate numbers, however when a road side mounted camera attempts
to photograph your license plate, the traffic camera can only see
a white blur where the license plate numbers/letters are located.
The license plate protector
is an inexpensive solution for photo radar traps it is available for
both cars and motorbikes.
Check the local laws to ensure license
plate protectors are acceptable.
